How to get back the bail

1. Ways of getting back the bail

(1) Getting back in person

(2) Entrusting somebody else to withdraw it.

(3) Transferring it to the account.

2. In case of getting back the bail in person or by entrusting another person to withdraw it, the person may get it at Counter No.7 of the office's
Service Center on the designated date after receiving the office's notice of approval. The money will be returned after checking the proofs according to cashier procedure.

3. If the bail is to be withdrawn by the guarantor, the following documents are required:

(1) The notice on returning the bail.

(2) The original receipt of payment

(3) The guarantor's ID and seal

4. If the bail is to be withdrawn by an entrusted person, the following documents are required:

(1) The notice on returning the bail.

(2) The original receipt of payment

(3) The entrusted person's ID and seal

(4) Power of Appointment (the office provides the form free of charge. The entrusted person shall sign or affix his or her seal and write down his or her age, address, and ID number).

(5) Certified document of the entrusted person's seal (issued by the civil office of the city, township, or village he or she lives). If the amount to be returned is NT$100,000 or less, the certified document of seal is exempted. If the entrusted person is the spouse or a lineal relative of the guarantor and has the power of proxy, he or she may get back the money by presenting the residence-registration booklet in place of the certified document of seal.

5. Returning the bail by transferring to the account: If the guarantor hopes to get back the bail by account-transfer, he or she should fill out the petition form for account-transfer attached to the refund notice and send it by certified mail together with the original receipt of payment to the accounting department of the office for the completion of account-transfer procedure. (Failure to mail the petition and receipt within the definite period is regarded as being willing to come to the office to get the money.)

6. If there is any problem, please call the office's Service Center at (035) 254102 ext.406
