Hsinchu District Prosecutors Office held a seminar

On March 23, 2026, our agency held the Northern Regional Seminar titled "Using Law as a Shield to Protect National Core Technologies" to strengthen the security of the semiconductor industry. The Hsinchu Science Park is a global hub for semiconductors and is crucial for our nation's economy and security. Minister of Justice Tseng Ming-chien emphasized that the park generated NT$1.7 trillion in revenue in 2025, highlighting its strategic importance.The seminar was chaired by Prosecutor General Chang Dou-hui and attended by various officials and industry representatives. Minister Tseng noted that the government is continually enhancing cooperation with the industry to promote the protection of trade secrets and risk warnings. Prosecutor General Chang pointed out that the prosecution agency will strengthen case investigations and collaborate with various sectors to establish a protective network.During the seminar, representatives shared legal frameworks and practical experiences, discussing protection strategies and countermeasures for core technologies to enhance industry risk awareness. Participants unanimously agreed on the need for institutional frameworks and public-private cooperation to safeguard national core technologies.Moving forward, our agency will continue to integrate resources to strengthen the protection of the technology industry, ensuring that our nation maintains a leading position in the global technological competition.
