The event was presided over by Chief Prosecutor Chen Song-ji and attended by key officials including Hsinchu City Police Chief Hsu Sung-chia, Hsinchu City Investigation Station Director Chen Chih-cheng, Hsinchu City Government Integrity Office Director Chen Wen-yi, Hsinchu City Special Police Team Leader Li An-kuei, along with prosecutors and staff from various units. This gathering demonstrated a united commitment among prosecutors, police, and investigators to combat illegal activities.
The office and local judicial police agencies will uphold the principles of "lawful investigation and prompt handling," ensuring strict confidentiality for whistleblowers while diligently working to combat all illegal actions that undermine electoral fairness. To enhance investigative capacity and encourage public oversight, the office has established dedicated reporting hotlines: (03) 667-7944 for regional inquiries and a toll-free reporting number 0800-024-099 (press 4 after dialing), providing 24-hour service for immediate reporting and response.
Moreover, the office promotes the "Hsinchu Prosecutors Anti-Bribery" Facebook page and various outreach channels to raise public awareness. Citizens are encouraged to report any incidents of election interference, vote-buying, misinformation, threats of violence, gambling operations, or foreign influence. The office is committed to "strict legal enforcement and prompt investigation," maintaining the confidentiality of whistleblowers. Rewards of up to NT$20 million may be issued for verified reports involving foreign interference, while cases related to election gambling can yield rewards of up to NT$5 million, all aimed at safeguarding electoral integrity and upholding democratic rule of law.
