To implement the government's policy on promoting the development of the green energy industry and to deepen communication and exchange between the prosecutorial authorities and the green energy sector, thereby maintaining fair competition in the green energy industry and promoting energy conservation, carbon reduction, and a sustainable future, Chief Prosecutor Qiu Zhi-ping of our office, on the afternoon of May 14, 2025, visited New Pu Technology Co., Ltd. in Hukou Township, Hsinchu County, accompanied by Li Qi-xun, the captain of the Criminal Police Brigade of the Hsinchu County Police Bureau, Lin Rui-fang, the deputy chief of the Xinhu Branch, Liao Ren-wei, the head of the investigation team, and He Bing-zhang, the head of the Hsinchu County Investigation Station.
During the visit, they were received by the administrative vice president of New Pu Company, who explained the company's outstanding operational performance in battery modules and carbon reduction achievements. The team also toured the solar panel photovoltaic facilities and operations established at the company’s site. In addition to inquiring about and discussing the current state and trends of the industry, the joint visit team conveyed the high importance placed by the investigating and prosecuting authorities on combating unlawful acts that impede the development of the green energy industry, as well as the channels of communication with industry operators. The aim is to become a trusted support for businesses, fostering corporate integrity and industrial resilience.
Although many investments in the green energy photovoltaic industry are located in central and southern Taiwan, the company visited is situated in Hukou Township, Hsinchu County, and has been deeply engaged in the fields of battery modules and Energy Storage Systems (ESS) for many years, with energy-saving photovoltaic equipment at its facility. During a seminar, Chief Prosecutor Qiu Zhi-ping responded that any photovoltaic projects established by enterprises, manufacturers, or groups in the Hsinchu area, when seeking sites, preparing facilities, and applying for operations, can contact members of this visiting team if they encounter any unlawful interference or have related suggestions. He also thanked New Pu Company for their attention and reception during this joint visit, noting that both parties have a high level of concern for adhering to corporate integrity governance mechanisms, developing green energy and resource recycling, maintaining public safety and rule of law, and promoting a transparent and clean operating environment.
The green energy industry is one of the key policies for energy transition in our country, and its development is crucial for economic vitality, environmental sustainability, and national security. Any unlawful acts that impede the promotion of green energy not only disrupt industrial order but also affect public trust in government policies. Our office has previously established a "Platform for Combating Crimes Impeding the Development of the Green Energy Industry," actively integrating resources from the prosecutorial and police sectors, setting up dedicated contact points and prosecutorial officers. We encourage all businesses and the public to provide relevant information if they encounter unlawful incidents, and we will thoroughly investigate and comprehensively block the infiltration of unlawful forces into the green energy sector, implementing a low-carbon and sustainable living environment.
